Does USCIS require my translation to be notarized?
No. Under 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3), USCIS requires a full English translation plus a signed certification from the translator stating the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent in both languages. Notarization is not required by USCIS, which is why the USCIS tier is $25 a page without it. Courts, universities, consulates and foreign authorities often do want it — for those, choose the $35 notarized tier and a separate New York notary notarizes the translator’s signature.
Is $25–$35 a page more expensive than other certified translation services?
For the certified translation USCIS asks for, our $25 a page sits in the middle of the market and includes the signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that some lower prices leave out. For a notarized page — what courts, consulates and many schools want — $35 covers the translation, the certificate, notarization of the translator’s signature by a New York notary and 24-hour delivery on single documents, which is below every provider in our comparison that charges a separate notary fee (prices checked September 10, 2026).
How much does a certified translation cost?
$25 per page certified, with the signed certificate of accuracy USCIS requires — or $35 per page with notarization included. A page means one page of the original document up to 250 words. Most vital records — birth certificates, marriage certificates, passports, diplomas — are a single page.
How fast can I get it?
Standard delivery is 24 hours for single documents, with no page limit; large orders get a confirmed ready date when you order. Rush 12-hour service is available for $15 per page. You receive a digitally signed PDF by email; hard copies ship for $15.
Do you translate Uzbek documents, including Soviet-era ones?
Yes. We handle modern Uzbek (Latin script), older Uzbek (Cyrillic script), and the Russian-language documents still issued throughout Uzbekistan and the former Soviet republics. Many documents people call ‘Uzbek’ — especially records issued before 1995 — are actually written in Russian, and we read both.
Will USCIS accept your translation?
We prepare every translation to the only standard USCIS actually sets — 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3): a complete English translation plus the translator's signed certification of competence and accuracy. No translation company can guarantee how an agency will decide a filing, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something that does not exist. What we do guarantee is our own work: if a U.S. agency, court or university rejects our translation because of the translation, we correct it at no charge, and refund you in full if that does not resolve it.
